Live Oak Brewing Company

Live Oak Brewing Company is a locally owned brewery in Austin, Texas. It produces four year-round beers and nearly 20 seasonal or limited-release options. The brewery uses large horizontal dairy tanks for fermentation and employs the traditional decoction mashing technique for its Live Oak Pilz and Oaktoberfest. In 2015, the operation moved to a 20-acre site along the Colorado River near the airport, where it built a new brewery and taproom. The taproom and biergarten are open to the public and family-friendly. Visitors can enjoy craft beers on draft, grab food from the Black Forest food truck, and attend events such as brewery tours, beer release parties, art markets, trivia nights, and rolling roadshows. In 2019, the hefeweizen won a bronze medal at the Great American Beer Festival. The brewery also collaborated with Browar Grodzisk in Poland on a limited-release Grodziskie Imperialne beer.
