Mexic-Arte Museum

Mexic-Arte Museum is a fine arts museum in Austin, Texas, dedicated to presenting and promoting traditional and contemporary Mexican and Latino art and culture. Founded in 1983 and officially recognized as the state’s Mexican American Fine Art Museum in 2003, it has been located on Congress Avenue since 1988. Visitors can explore rotating exhibitions of paintings, sculpture, and mixed-media works by Mexican and Latino artists, as well as cultural programming. The museum also runs the Screen It! program, which received a National Arts & Humanities Youth Program Award in 2016, highlighting its commitment to community education.
