About this Experience
Experience sunset from the Chicago River on this guided group canoe paddle. Meet at the Ping Tom Boathouse (300 W. 19th St). Remember to wear warm and comfortable clothing, and to bring water. Children must be at least three years of age and children under 35 lbs will need to bring their own life vest. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time of the program. Your registration fee covers rental of all equipment plus instruction. Nature Oasis: Community Bonfire at Hayes
See your local park in a new light! The Nature Oasis Community Bonfire Series invites community members to experience their park by firelight. Spend the evening in the park meeting your neighbors, learning about local wildlife and warming up next to a fire! Unfortunately, we are not able to provide marshmallows just yet, but please feel welcome to bring your own and we will provide the roasting sticks. Join us within the first 15 minutes of the event for a brief lesson on campfire building.
Fall Equinox at NPV
Join us for a relaxed evening of live music and open trails are we celebrate the Fall Equinox at the North Park Village Nature Center. Enjoy a special evening and explore the trails at dusk accompanied by the sounds of the Emily Kuhn Quintet. Weather permitting, we'll also light a few bonfires to warm up by on a crisp fall night. 6:30-8:30pm, no registration necessary. Parking is very limited, so public transit or bikes are encouraged.
