Fair Park Coliseum

Fair Park Coliseum is an 8,513-seat multi-purpose arena built in 1955 on the Fair Park grounds in Dallas. It has been home to several sports teams including the Dallas Black Hawks (ice hockey), Dallas Chaparrals (basketball), and the Dallas Generals (ABA). It also hosted the Assassination City Roller Derby league from 2011 to 2013. The coliseum has a rich history of major events. It was the site of the inaugural National Finals Rodeo from 1959 to 1961 and hosted the Dallas Tornado indoor soccer regionals in 1975. During the 1984 Dallas Grand Prix, the coliseum served as the pit paddock for Formula One teams. Visitors today can attend ongoing events at this historic venue, which remains an active part of Fair Park.
