Frontiers of Flight Museum

The Frontiers of Flight Museum is an aerospace museum at the southeast corner of Dallas Love Field, occupying a 100,000-square-foot building. Founded in 1988 by William E. Cooper, Kay Bailey Hutchison, and Jan Collmer, it is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Affiliations program. The museum's core collection originated from aviation historian George E. Haddaway's donation of books, journals, photographs, and archives to the University of Texas at Dallas. Visitors can explore exhibits that focus on the history of aviation and space exploration, with an emphasis on the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Highlights include the Apollo 7 Command Module, a World War I Sopwith Pup biplane replica, artifacts from the German airship Hindenburg and other airships, and over 200 World War II aircraft models.
