Sue Ellen's

Sue Ellen's is a two-story nightclub and lesbian bar in Dallas' Oak Lawn gayborhood. It opened on January 19, 1989, and moved to its current Throckmorton Street location in 2008. It has been a longtime fixture of queer nightlife in Dallas and is the oldest lesbian bar in Texas. Named after the character Sue Ellen Ewing from the TV show Dallas, the bar is considered the sister bar to nearby JR's. Visitors can enjoy a night out in a historic LGBTQ space that has been a community staple for decades.
