Undermain Theatre

Undermain Theatre is an 80-seat regional theater that serves as the home for the professional theater company called the Deep Ellum Theatre Group. It is situated in the Deep Ellum neighborhood of Dallas, Texas. The name Undermain derives from the theater's actual location—a basement space that is literally under Main Street. This ensemble group of theatre artists is dedicated to performing new and experimental works, and they have presented shows throughout Dallas, in New York City, and across Europe as well. The theater has become widely known for producing works by many contemporary writers, making it a distinctive destination for those interested in new and innovative theatrical pieces.
