Bohemian National Hall

The Bohemian National Hall is a five-story neo-Renaissance building on the Upper East Side, built between 1895 and 1897 as a Czech American social and culture center. It gained New York City landmark status in 1994 and was later sold to the Czech government, which renovated and reopened it in 2008. Today the hall houses the Czech Consulate, the New York Czech Center, and several cultural associations. Visitors can enjoy a modest cinema, an art gallery, a ballroom/theater, and a roof terrace. The ground-floor restaurant, Hospoda, opened in 2011 and offers Czech cuisine. The venue also hosts events and performances throughout the year.
