Bronx Children's Museum

The Bronx Children's Museum is a children's museum founded in 2005. Its permanent exhibition space occupies the entire second floor of the Power House building in Mill Pond Park, South Bronx. The museum reaches about 10,000 people per year through its Museum On The Go! bus, a purple vehicle that has offered programming since 2011. Visitors can explore hands-on exhibits in the permanent building, which opened to the public in December 2022. The museum also provides in-school, afterschool, and summer enrichment programs at schools, community organizations, shelters, libraries, festivals, and parks. Notable supporters include Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor and former Sesame Street star Sonia Manzano, who wrote a children's book for the museum about the nearby High Bridge.
