Frick Collection

The Frick Collection is an art museum on Manhattan's Upper East Side, housed in a Beaux-Arts mansion that was once the home of industrialist Henry Clay Frick. Established in 1935, it preserves a collection of 14th- to 19th-century European paintings alongside fine and decorative art pieces. The museum also includes the Frick Art Research Library, an art history center founded by Frick's daughter in 1920. Visitors can view masterworks by artists such as Rembrandt, Vermeer, Goya, and Turner, displayed in their original domestic setting. Beyond the permanent collection, the museum hosts temporary exhibitions, academic symposiums, concerts, and classes. The intimate scale and elegant interiors offer a refined cultural experience, drawing around 300,000 visitors annually.
