One World Trade Center

One World Trade Center, also called One WTC, is the main building of the rebuilt World Trade Center complex in Lower Manhattan. Designed by David Childs, it stands 1,776 feet tall, a height referencing the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The tower has 94 stories and is the tallest building in the United States and the Western Hemisphere. It occupies the northwest corner of the 16‑acre site, where the original 6 World Trade Center once stood. Visitors can ascend to the One World Observatory on the top floors, which opened in May 2015. From here, you get panoramic views of New York City and beyond. The building is part of a revitalized complex that includes the National September 11 Memorial & Museum just to the south, along with other office towers and a transportation hub.
