Prospect Park

Prospect Park is a 526-acre urban public park in Brooklyn, New York, located between several neighborhoods and adjacent to the Brooklyn Museum and Botanic Garden. It is the second-largest public park in Brooklyn, designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, and opened in 1867. The park is a designated scenic landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, operated by the Prospect Park Alliance and NYC Parks. Visitors can enjoy the 90-acre Long Meadow, the Prospect Park Zoo, a 60-acre lake, the Boathouse, Concert Grove, and the Prospect Park Bandshell for summer outdoor concerts. Sports facilities include tennis courts, basketball, baseball, soccer fields, and a pétanque club. The park is part of the Brooklyn-Queens Greenway, offering a network of green spaces across western Long Island.
