Radio City Music Hall

Radio City Music Hall is an iconic entertainment venue at 1260 Avenue of the Americas within Rockefeller Center in Midtown Manhattan. Designed by Edward Durell Stone and Donald Deskey in the Art Deco style, it opened on December 27, 1932, as part of the Rockefeller Center complex. Nicknamed "The Showplace of the Nation," it is the headquarters for the Rockettes and originally had the world's largest auditorium when it opened. The 5,960-seat theater was designated a New York City Landmark in 1978 and underwent a major renovation in 1999. Visitors can attend concerts by leading pop and rock musicians, live stage shows such as the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, and televised events like the Grammy Awards and Tony Awards. The theater also features a variety of art throughout its four-tiered auditorium. While initially built for stage shows and later a movie palace, today it primarily hosts performances and special events, making it a must-see for live entertainment in New York City.
