Flawn Academic Center

The Flawn Academic Center is an undergraduate library and technology collaboration facility on the University of Texas at Austin campus. Opened between 1963 and 1964, it was the first open-stack library for undergraduates on campus and also housed much of the Humanities Research Center. The building is named after former university president Peter T. Flawn. Visitors can explore the Leeds Gallery, which features a permanent exhibit recreating the study of Perry Mason creator Erle Stanley Gardner, complete with his personal effects. Outside the front of the building, Charles Umlauf's sculpture "The Torchbearers" is on public display, offering an engaging stop for art and literary enthusiasts.
