McKinney Falls State Park

McKinney Falls State Park is a 744.4-acre state park in Austin, Texas, located at the confluence of Onion Creek and Williamson Creek. Administered by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, it opened in 1976 and is named after Thomas F. McKinney, a 19th-century businessman and rancher who once owned the land. Visitors can explore the park's namesake features: the scenic upper and lower falls along Onion Creek. The park also lies on the El Camino Real de los Tejas National Historic Trail, offering opportunities for hiking and nature appreciation.
