Texas Military Forces Museum

The Texas Military Forces Museum, hosted at Camp Mabry, is a history museum that chronicles the story of Texas military forces from 1823 through the present. It is part of the United States Army Historical Program and is open to the public Tuesday through Sunday. Visitors can explore over 45,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor galleries featuring 24 major exhibits. Highlights include more than 10,000 artifacts, 36 vehicles, 8 dioramas, and over 50 uniformed mannequins. The museum also houses a library and archive with over 10,000 books and 20,000 photos available for research. Admission is free, but a government-issued ID is required to enter Camp Mabry.
