About this Experience
Presented by the Culture, Arts & Nature Department (CAN) Luminaria de la Vida highlights recent ceramic works by Vida Radick, long-time beloved ceramics facilitator at Ridge Park Cultural Center in Beverly. Vida’s body of work intertwines the useful and the totemic – and in so doing, favors organic forms. Her series of luminaries are the central groundwork for the exhibition, and feature quietly dramatic interplay between light and shadow. Golden Hour at Northerly Island

Nature Oasis: Community Bonfire at Altgeld
See your local park in a new light! The Nature Oasis Community Bonfire Series invites community members to experience their park by firelight. Spend the evening in the park meeting your neighbors, learning about local wildlife and warming up next to a fire! Unfortunately, we are not able to provide marshmallows just yet, but please feel welcome to bring your own and we will provide the roasting sticks. Join us within the first 15 minutes of the event for a brief lesson on campfire building.
Micromobility Town Hall #2 at Ellis
Join this in-person town hall to learn about a new state law impacting micromobility and share your ideas for new Chicago Park District rules for micromobility vehicles on Chicago Park District bicycle paths and trails. “Micromobility” refers to small vehicles intended for personal use that allow people to travel short distances, including e-bikes, e-scooters, e-unicycles, e-skateboards, and e-motos.
