Trump International Hotel and Tower

The Trump International Hotel and Tower is a 100-story skyscraper in downtown Chicago. Designed by architect Adrian Smith of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, it was built by Bovis Lend Lease from 2005 to 2009. The structure reaches 1,388 feet with its spire and stands next to the Chicago River, offering views toward Lake Michigan. Its design includes ground-floor retail, a parking garage, a 339-room hotel, and private condominiums. Visitors can access the retail spaces on the ground floor and appreciate the building's striking architecture from the riverside. The hotel opened with limited accommodations in January 2008 and full services in April 2008. Upon completion, the tower became the second-tallest in the United States and briefly held the title for the highest residence in the world, surpassing the John Hancock Center.
