Emirates Stadium

Emirates Stadium is a football ground in Holloway, London, that has been the home of Arsenal Football Club since its completion in 2006. Its current seated capacity of 60,704 makes it one of the largest football stadiums in England. The pitch is so well maintained that fans and sports media have nicknamed it 'the Carpet'. The stadium also serves as a regular home venue for the Brazil national team in Europe. Visitors can attend Arsenal men's and women's matches, as well as international football fixtures and live music concerts. Since 2009, an 'Arsenalisation' process has added visible links to the club's history throughout the stadium. The entire project cost £390 million and replaced the club's former Highbury ground, which was turned into an apartment complex called Highbury Square.
