Silver Cross Tavern

The Silver Cross Tavern is a historic pub situated on Whitehall in London. It first opened as a licensed establishment in 1674, though the building has housed a venue at this location since the 13th century. This pub is especially famous for an unusual claim: it has been argued to be the only theoretically legal brothel in the country, albeit one that does not operate as such.
