St James's Park

St James's Park is a 23-hectare Grade I listed urban park in central London. It lies east of Buckingham Palace, south of The Mall, and is part of a chain of royal parks that includes Green Park, Hyde Park, and Kensington Gardens. Originally enclosed as a deer park for Henry VIII in the 1530s, it now provides a leafy retreat in the heart of the city. Visitors can enjoy scenic walks with views of Buckingham Palace, Horse Guards, and the lake. The park meets Green Park at Queen's Gardens, where the Victoria Memorial stands opposite the palace entrance. It is a pleasant spot for a leisurely stroll, picnics, or simply relaxing amid historic surroundings.
