California Science Center

The California Science Center is a state agency and science museum located in Exposition Park, Los Angeles. It sits next to the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and the University of Southern California. The museum features numerous exhibits of aircraft and spacecraft, including the Space Shuttle Endeavour, along with many hands-on galleries, special exhibitions, and IMAX movies. Billed as the West Coast's largest hands-on science center, it operates as a public-private partnership between the State of California and the California Science Center Foundation. Originally founded in 1951 as the California Museum of Science and Industry, it was remodeled and renamed in 1998. The center hosts the California State Science Fair annually. Visitors can engage with interactive science displays and view iconic space artifacts.
