Grauman's Egyptian Theatre

Grauman's Egyptian Theatre is a historic movie palace that opened in 1922 on Hollywood Boulevard. It was the site of the world's first film premiere and represents an early example of lavish cinema architecture, though it was later overshadowed by its neighbor, Grauman's Chinese Theatre. After falling into decline, the theater was restored twice and reopened in 2023. Today it hosts film programming Monday through Thursday managed by Netflix, while the American Cinematheque takes over Friday through Sunday, offering a mix of classic and contemporary movies in a beautifully restored setting.
