Jewel's Catch One

Jewel's Catch One is a historic dance bar that opened in 1973, owned by Jewel Thais-Williams. Located on West Pico Boulevard in Los Angeles, it operated as the city's longest-running black gay dance bar. After nearly closing in 2015, it was purchased by Mitch Edelson and his father Steve Edelson, who reopened it under new management. The venue briefly went by the name Union but has since reverted to the Catch One moniker. Visitors can experience a vibrant nightlife spot with a rich LGBTQ+ history.
