Colony Theatre

The Colony Theater originally opened in 1935 as a Paramount Pictures movie house with seating for 1,200 people. Over the decades it alternated between film screenings and live performances. As of 2020, it has been reconfigured into a 417-seat venue managed by the South Florida theater company Miami New Drama. Visitors can enjoy music, dance, and theater performances, as well as Miami New Drama's own theatrical season. The intimate setting provides a close-up experience of live shows, making it a cultural destination for arts lovers.
