The Barnacle Historic State Park

The Barnacle Historic State Park is a 5-acre Florida State Park in Miami's Coconut Grove neighborhood. It contains the oldest house in its original location in Miami-Dade County, built in 1891. The house was the home of Ralph Middleton Munroe, a founder of Coconut Grove and the Biscayne Bay Yacht Club, as well as a leading designer of sailing yachts. Visitors can explore the historic house and grounds, learning about Munroe's life and yacht designs. The park offers a glimpse into turn-of-the-century South Florida living and is accessible via the Miami Metrorail at Douglas Road and Coconut Grove stations.
