Climate Pledge Arena

Climate Pledge Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena on the Seattle Center campus, originally built for the 1962 World's Fair. After a $1.15 billion redevelopment from 2018 to 2021, it reopened in October 2021 preserving the landmarked original roof and exterior window curtain walls, added to historic registers. The arena seats up to 18,300 for basketball and over 17,000 for concerts. Visitors can catch Seattle Kraken NHL games, Seattle Storm WNBA games, Seattle Torrent PWHL games, Seattle University Redhawks men's basketball, and Rat City Roller Derby. The venue also hosts concerts and college tournaments. As the former home of the Seattle SuperSonics, it carries deep sports history. The extended south atrium provides the main entrance, and the arena's design blends modern amenities with mid-century architecture.
