Discovery Park

Discovery Park is a large public park in Seattle, Washington, covering 534 acres. It features diverse landscapes including forests, beaches, prairies, and bluffs. The park has over 11 miles of walking trails, including the 2.8-mile Discovery Park Loop Trail, a National Recreation Trail. The park is built on the historic grounds of Fort Lawton, and includes the Fort Lawton Historic District and West Point Lighthouse, both on the National Register of Historic Places. Visitors can explore the park's natural beauty, hike trails, and visit the Daybreak Star Cultural Center. The West Point Lighthouse offers scenic views of Puget Sound. The park also contains the West Point Treatment Plant, which is mostly hidden from view. As Seattle's largest public park, it provides ample space for outdoor recreation and exploration.
