Lumen Field

Lumen Field is a multi-purpose stadium in Seattle's SoDo neighborhood, built on the site of the Kingdome. It serves as the home field for the NFL's Seattle Seahawks, MLS's Seattle Sounders FC, and NWSL's Seattle Reign FC. With a capacity of 68,740 for NFL games and 37,722 for most MLS matches, the complex also includes the Event Center, the Washington Music Theater (WaMu Theater), a parking garage, and a public plaza. The venue opened in 2002 and has been renamed several times due to naming rights changes. Visitors can catch professional football, soccer, or other major sporting events. Seahawks fans have twice set the Guinness World Record for loudest roar at an outdoor stadium, making the atmosphere electric. The stadium also hosts college football games, XFL matches, and soccer tournaments like the MLS Cup, U.S. Open Cup, and CONCACAF events. It even hosted six matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The stadium's design emphasizes an open-air, intimate experience, and its location near downtown makes it easy to access via freeways and transit.
