National Nordic Museum

The National Nordic Museum, founded in 1980 and originally known as the Nordic Heritage Museum, moved into a permanent purpose-built facility in 2018. It was designated a national museum in 2019. The museum covers the entire Nordic region, including Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Åland, and Sápmi. Visitors can explore exhibits of art and historical objects that showcase Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian, and Swedish American culture. The museum serves as a community gathering place, offering educational and cultural experiences through its preserved collections and rotating displays.
