Suzzallo Library

Suzzallo Library is the central library of the University of Washington in Seattle and is perhaps the most recognizable building on campus. It is named for Henry Suzzallo, who served as university president until 1926, the same year the library's first construction phase was completed. The building was renamed in his honor following his death in 1933. As a notable campus landmark, visitors can admire the library's distinctive architecture from the outside and explore its historic interiors if open to the public. Though primarily a working academic library, its prominent location and design make it a worthwhile stop for those touring the university grounds.
