Chicago Children's Museum

The Chicago Children's Museum, founded in 1982 by The Junior League of Chicago, originally operated from two hallways in the Chicago Public Library. It later moved several times before settling as an anchor tenant at Navy Pier in 1995. The museum now spans 57,000 square feet across three floors, offering educational exhibits, public programs, and special events. Visitors can explore interactive exhibits and programs designed for children and families. The relocation to Navy Pier made it the fourth largest children's museum in the United States. The museum serves over 650,000 people annually at its Navy Pier location and in surrounding Chicago communities.
