Civic Opera House

The Civic Opera House, part of the Art Deco Civic Opera Building that opened in 1929, seats 3,276 in its main performance space. This venue, originally built for the Chicago Civic Opera, features a 45-story office tower and two 22-story wings with intricate architectural details. Since 1954, it has been the home of the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and the Joffrey Ballet moved in during 2021.
