Grant Park

Grant Park is a large 319-acre urban park in the Loop community area of Chicago's central business district. Originally called Lake Park, it was renamed in 1901 for President Ulysses S. Grant and expanded through land reclamation from Lake Michigan. It is bordered by Randolph Street, Roosevelt Road, Michigan Avenue, and Lake Michigan, and features Millennium Park, Buckingham Fountain, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Museum Campus. Visitors can explore performance venues, gardens, artwork, sporting facilities, and harbor areas.
