Downtown Aquarium

The Downtown Aquarium, formerly Colorado's Ocean Journey, is a for-profit aquarium and restaurant in Denver. Its 107,000-square-foot main building sits on a 17-acre site next to the South Platte River. The facility holds about 1,000,000 US gallons of freshwater and marine aquaria, displaying a variety of fish and other animals. It is owned by Landry's Restaurants, Inc. and accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Visitors can explore exhibits featuring diverse aquatic life, from freshwater species to marine creatures. The on-site restaurant offers dining opportunities within the aquarium. As an AZA-accredited facility, it provides educational and engaging experiences for all ages.
