San Francisco Museum of Modern Art

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) is a nonprofit institution and was the first museum on the West Coast dedicated solely to 20th-century art. It houses an internationally recognized collection of over 33,000 works spanning painting, sculpture, photography, architecture, design, and media arts. Visitors can explore 170,000 square feet of exhibition space, making it one of the largest museums in the U.S. for modern and contemporary art. The museum also features the renowned Doris and Donald Fisher Collection of contemporary art, and its Snøhetta-designed expansion doubled gallery space and added extensive public areas.
