Lazy Bear

Lazy Bear is a dinner restaurant in San Francisco's Mission District, awarded two Michelin stars. It is owned by chef David Barzelay and managing partner Colleen Booth. The restaurant opened in 2014 as the successor to a series of unlicensed paid dinner parties, and before the pandemic it emulated a dinner party atmosphere. Visitors can experience communal dining at two long tables, fostering a convivial, shared meal. The restaurant is affiliated with the cocktail bar True Laurel and the French restaurant JouJou. Barzelay has also been a partner in a casual restaurant, The Automat.
