Mission Dolores Park

Mission Dolores Park is a city park in San Francisco's Mission District, bounded by 18th, 20th, Dolores, and Church Streets. It features tennis courts, a basketball court, a soccer field, a children's playground, and a dog play area. The park slopes strongly from southwest to northeast, offering an unobstructed view of downtown San Francisco, especially from the southwest corner. The southern half also provides views of the Mission District, the San Francisco Bay, and the East Bay. Visitors come for the warm and sunny microclimate, which draws up to 7,000–10,000 people on a sunny weekend day. The Muni Metro J-Church streetcar line runs along its western border, and the park is surrounded by residential buildings in various architectural styles. It's a popular spot for sports, relaxing, and taking in the scenery, with easy access to the Mission District and nearby Castro neighborhood.
